At GEICO, a leader in the auto insurance industry, we seek a dedicated Casualty Claims Examiner to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on evaluating and resolving personal and commercial casualty claims by determining insurance coverage, evaluating damages, and managing comprehensive claim investigations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent claim handling. Assess and determine the extent of insurance coverage for the casualty losses. Investigate and manage all aspects of casualty claims, including liaising with claimants, witnesses, and legal counsel. Evaluate claims for potential fraud and collaborate with special investigation units when necessary. Negotiate settlements in accordance with company guidelines and policy. Prepare detailed reports and documentation supporting claim handling process. Continuously update job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities and professional organizations. Strong analytical and decision-making skills Excellent negotiation and communication skills Proficient in claims management software Ability to handle stressful situations professionally Knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of insurance claims Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Adjuster license preferred Certified Claims Professional (CCP) certification is a plus
