POSITION OVERVIEW At Republic Manufacturing, we are dedicated to the production of high-quality products using cutting-edge CNC machining processes. We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager with strong leadership qualities to guide our team to even greater success. The Machine Shop Manager overseas employees and operations to manufacture product while optimizing safety, quality, teamwork, productivity, costs, and customer service. Ensure all environmental and safety policies and programs are upheld. Lead the overall vision and direction for daily manufacturing operations designed to meet production schedules, customer demand, inventory control, equipment efficiency, materials flow, while meeting quality requirements with an effective manufacturing process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Day to day functions): Provide strong leadership and direction to the CNC machine shop team, emphasizing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and dedication to quality. Conduct regular team meetings, ensuring clear communication regarding project updates, team performance, and company goals. Mentor and develop team members, identifying training opportunities and areas for skill enhancement. Oversee daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to Republic Manufacturing's quality standards. Coordinate with other departments, such as design, quality control, and logistics, to optimize workflow and ensure smooth production processes. Implement and maintain efficient, safe, and clean workplace practices in line with industry standards and regulations. Continuously evaluate existing machining processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving initiatives to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, integrating them into the machine shop operations as applicable. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards. Investigate and address any quality-related issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus Demonstrated ability in leading and mentoring teams. Proficient in CNC programming and understanding of CAD/CAM software. Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of team work including cross functional teams to, coach, motivate, lead and develop direct reports. Proficient in the basic features of Microsoft Office software products. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement activity. Experience in ISO9001, certified organization. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and walk for extended periods of time in non-climate-controlled environment; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
