This position requires a person having 8 to 12 years of experience
of working as Data Center Lead / Sr. Technician. Their job
description entails leading a team of Data Center Technicians who
are responsible for providing Data Center equipment installation,
monitoring technical support & maintenance services. The role also
requires that person has clear understanding of industry standards
/ benchmarks / technologies used in Data Center Capacity
Management, Power & Temperature Management. Their role also entails
monitoring system process and ensure smooth operations. They
evaluate power, heating, and cooling systems to ensure they are
operational and can meet equipment temperatures conditions. They
also endeavor to update ACDC forms to maintain devices records
after installing new devices at the Data Center. Candidate should
also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written
communication skills.
Compulsory Skills
MUST BE SAFETY AWARE AROUND ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS!!
MUST have excellent understanding of Data Center Power Management.
Power management involves identifying, implementing, and monitoring
processes to improve power efficiency within the data center, both
at the hardware and software level. Candidate must be well versed
with DC Power Distribution concepts including installation &
troubleshooting - Power Feeds, Amperage / Voltage, PDM / PDU, ATS,
Switchgear, Power Strips, UPS, Redundant Distribution (Side A /
Side B), Generators etc.
MUST have excellent understanding of Data Center Temperature &
Humidity management. The candidate must be aware about concepts
including installation & troubleshooting related to CRAH, Chillers,
Humidity, Airflow, Temperature Monitoring & Control for smooth
operations.
MUST have an excellent understanding of below.
Rack Mounting Devices - Servers, Switches, Routers, Storage Arrays,
and other DC Appliances.
Cable Management - Cabling Topologies, Power Cords and Receptacles,
Optical Fibers, Copper Cabling.
Capacity Management - Forecasting DC capacity needs and plan
hardware procurement in collaboration with IT Leadership.
Vendor Management - Experience in working with technology vendors
from procurement to maintenance of Data Center assets.
Inventory Management - Must be able to maintain accurate inventory
of all equipment's, tools, and network devices.
Troubleshooting Skills - Must be able to follow Linear & Logical
troubleshooting approach by performing tests to identify cabling,
basic hardware issues and replacing bad cabling & peripherals. Able
to complete basic repair of damaged or faulty network equipment and
devices (limited to swappable devices such as hard drives,
controllers, and other simple filed replaceable components). Should
also be able to provide technical leadership and support during
Data Center issues and incidents.
Technical Writing Skills - Should be able to develop Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Procedure (MOP), DC Manual's
including version control.
MUST be familiar with change control processes and ticketing
systems e.g. JIRA. Experience of working in Agile / DevOps
environment is desired.
MUST possess excellent communication skills - both oral & written
to be able to explain complicated technical process in a simple to
way to non-technical staff.
Physical Requirements - Data Center job involves staying on feet,
crawling, crouch, kneel, lift, and move up to 40lbs over short
distances.
Understanding of how the facility machinery supports the Data
Center; working with Facilities Team to enable Facility Management
without / minimal disruption to Data Center assets.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their work
location, skills, experience, education, and other factors
permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for
performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition,
this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company
