year License: RN License Certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have:
1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse 3-4
contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU 2 years minimum PICU
experience as a staff nurse Experience with caring for patients
with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD
patients Experience with management of arterial lines, central
lines, and transthoracic lines Description: Pediatric CVICU Cardiac
required for this position. Unit Information: Number of Beds: 27
Number of Staff: 90 Type of Staff: Acuity adaptive model. Team
cares for ICU and step-down level patients for continuity. Patient
Ratios: 1:2, 1:1, and at times 1:3. Type of Equipment: IV pumps,
beds, HARD cribs and cribettes, radiant warmers, NIRS machines,
vents. EMR: Meditech. Typical Hiring Profile: Most recruited for:
Candidates must have the skills listed to be considered for the
role. Preferred or nice to have: Candidates with these skills will
be considered first. List of Typical Procedures Performed: Central
line and arterial line placement. Conscious sedation.
Intubation/extubation. Post-operative recovery of general and
cardiac procedures. Sternal closures. Codes. ECMO cannulation and
decannulation. CRRT. Manual PD. Best Personality Fit: Compassionate
and empathetic care delivery. Hardworking team player.

NICU, pediatric med surge, pediatric oncology. Dress Code: Scrub
color: royal blue. Weekends and On-call: Rotating weekends (day
shift on Saturday and Sunday, night shift on Friday and Saturday).
