with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Lufkin,
Texas, 75904! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty:
Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening and Night Variable
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience
in Emergency Department License: Required Certifications: ACLS,
BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC Must-Have: - 2 years experience in
Emergency Department - Ability to manage and care for patients with
various diagnoses, including Trauma, Stroke, Sepsis, CHF, and
Cardiac conditions Description: Candidates may not be full-time,
part-time, or PRN with any facility associated within the past
year. The facility has 243 bays and a fast track area. There is a
separate triage area where travelers may occasionally be required
to perform triage duties. There is no separate holding area; ER
holds are intermixed within the ER and RN's care for these holds.
There are no separate psych or seclusion rooms, and in-house
security is available. The unit sees approximately 80-90 patients
per day with a ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients. Required
certifications include ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and either PALS or ENPC.
Experience in managing trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac
patients is essential. The facility employs charge nurses and house
supervisors, as well as nurse aides, paramedics, and patient
sitters. There is no monitor tech; RNs must be proficient in
reading ECG rhythms. X-ray and CT services are located next to the
emergency department. Phlebotomy is performed by either the tech or
RN. Shifts are self-scheduled with variable options for daytime and
nighttime hours. Weekend and holiday requirements are every other
week. There is no call or standby requirement, and floating may be
required to units for which qualified. The dress code for the unit
is navy scrubs. Unit-specific orientation is provided. The charting
system used is Allscripts. The unit operates as an acute care
