Methodist Health System, a leader in providing compassionate, quality healthcare, is currently seeking a dedicated Telemetry Technician to join our team. This role is critical in monitoring patients' heart rates, rhythms, and other vital information via specialized equipment. The Telemetry Technician is responsible for observing, recording, and reporting data ensuring the timely management and treatment of Methodist Health System patients across our Texas facilities. This position requires a sharp, attentive professional who can predict and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions. Continuously monitor patient telemetry equipment, ensuring all data is accurate and transmitted properly. Identify and interpret cardiac rhythms, notifying healthcare team members of potential patient issues. Maintain telemetry equipment, performing routine tests and calibrations to ensure functionality. Document and report patient's status and alerts team on any urgent findings. Support patient care team in implementing care plans based on telemetry readings. Educate and inform patients and families on telemetry procedures and implications. Proficient in the use of telemetry equipment. Strong observational and analytical skills. Ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Capable of working efficiently under stressful conditions. Medical Insurance Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
