Doctor of Medicine | Gastroenterology Location: Lufkin, TX Employer: TotalMed Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position St Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin, 1201 W Frank Ave, Lufkin, TX 75904 Setting: Inpatient only Required Procedures: normal GI procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies, along with ERCP capability EMR: Currently using Paragon with plans to switch to EPIC later in 2026 Support Staff: Endoscopy trained GI nursing staff for procedures Number of patients and procedures per day will vary, they expect the load to be up to 10 patients per day to round on and procedures as needed for this Is there an Anesthesiologist on site or is conscious sedation required? There is Anesthesia backup, and they do prefer conscious sedation when possible ERCP Required Is there rounding involved? Yes Hospital will admit the patients Case Type: Abdominal pain, GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, Ulceration, gastritis, perhaps diagnose carcinoma but no treatment Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days, emergency privs can be granted with clean MP Rates: $3,200 per on call (Daily) $425 per hour for call backs after 4 gratis hours Johnny w/TotalMed (813) 601-4708 Benefits Rates are negotiable
