Specialist. Supported by our network of sales, service and repair
techs, the company has evolved to encompass over 160 locations in
the US and Mexico.
This position is s hybrid work schedule with working 3 days in the
office and two days from home.
SouthernCarlson is seeking a strategic-minded Human Resources
Business Partner to join our Human Resource team. This position
will coordinate and handle HR policies and programs for the
division with emphasis on talent acquisition, associate relations
and engagement, compliance, and performance management. Working
collaboratively with divisional leaders, the HR Business Partner
will build and develop successful relationships with managers and
employees to influence and execute HR processes and
initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Team
and act as a consultant to hiring managers throughout the
recruitment process, proactively recruit both active and passive
candidates for positions across the division including sales,
management, and field operations.
- Employee Engagement: Proactively solicit feedback from
employees at every level to develop and maintain a high performing
and positive culture. Collaborate with HR Team to coordinate the
annual engagement survey and work with management to
develop/implement action plans relevant to the results. Promote
company pride and overall culture to continually enhance employee
engagement and retention.
- Employee Relations: Serve as an employee advocate and a primary
contact for employee complaints. Coordinate investigations and make
recommendations regarding appropriate resolution. Support managers
in handling conflict and facilitating difficult conversations.
- Compliance: Stay current on state and federal employment
regulations. Exercise judgement consistent with standards,
practices, policies and applicable laws and regulations including
but not limited to FLSA, EEO, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, DOT and OSHA.
Ensure team meets all governmental and company reporting
requirements.
- Performance Management: Manage the annual review process across
the division. Support managers with performance management
including motivation, performance plans, warnings and the
discipline/termination process.
- Job Descriptions: Ensure organization chart, job descriptions
and job titles remain current and aligned across the business.
Recommend and implement changes when necessary.YOU MAY BE A GOOD
FIT IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Business, Communications
or related field
- Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role with 3 of those
years in an HR management position with demonstrated career
progression
- Working knowledge of HR principles and best practices
- Ability to travel 20%
- Knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations
- Team-oriented with the ability to flex in support of timelines
and assist other HR team members as needed
- Polished interpersonal skills with ability to productively and
amicably confront conflict
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to gain the trust, respect and confidence of employees
and managers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude
- Experience maintaining strict confidence regarding sensitive
and confidential information
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
