Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate the ability to perform all job
duties in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and rules
including general safety rules, SWI, ZES, Hazard Communications,
hot work procedures, and all other rules concerning Pedestrian
Mobile Equipment Interface. Demonstrate the ability to be a team
player by: A) Participating in team meetings; contributing by
asking questions and listening to what is being said. B) Being
constructive and tactful with all team members. C) Treating
everyone with dignity and respect. D) Utilizing up-time, suggesting
job improvements, and housekeeping duties. E) Keeping a consistent
flow of material and completing daily, weekly, and monthly PM’s on
equipment. F) Reporting any and all near miss incidents and job
hazards, along with any other job duties or tasks assigned by
supervisor. CRITERIA: Must be safety oriented and comply with ZES
LOTO, hot work, proper tool for the task, and fall protection Must
score 50% or better on the Millwright Apprentice Test, possess good
reading and writing skills Demonstrate the ability to operate
grease gun, fill oil bowls, properly identify grease and oil types
for each bearing, gearbox, coupling, or oiler Complete daily oil
consumption log, fill bulk tanks and equipment hydraulic tanks
Communicate with supervision and mechanics regarding equipment
issues; monitor problem areas and correct failures due to leaks or
lubrication Identify poor machine health while completing
preventative maintenance work orders to create work requests for
future repair Must be able to learn equipment lubrication intervals
and routes Understand ISO codes and filtration Complete FLHRA card
on high-risk activities Must be able to work unsupervised and work
during downtime and non-production hours This position will include
required training to advance through the reliability technician
levels, which will be provided by the company granting several
certifications as training progresses (may require travel at
company’s expense) The West Fraser millwright classes will also be
required training in this position to advance the understanding of
best practices and operating conditions and help to identify
opportunities to continually improve the process Perform other
