Project Coordinator - General Contractor Job description
- Summary of Position:The Project Coordinator performs general,
administrative, and support duties for the Project Manager. This
includes processing job cost information, administering contracts,
managing documents, and project management administration.
- Responsibilities:Supports the PM in all administrative tasks of
multiple projects.Works with multiple Project
Superintendents.Responsible for AIA documentation, pay
applications, contracts, change orders, cost coding and
scheduling.Track orders and maintain job files.Assures insurance
requirements are met by all subcontractors.Reviews invoices in an
accurate and timely manner. Ensures proper backup documents are
received and approved. Submits all invoices and check requests to
accounting for payment.Completes project closeout duties which
include compiling information on items purchased which include
vendor, samples of product, MSDS if required, warranty information
by SH&A, subcontractors' warranty paperwork.Answer incoming
phone calls and emails from customers, vendors, contractors and
employees. Responds to and directs requests as appropriate.
- Characteristics/Skills Required:Self-Motivated and able to work
independently.Strong organizational skills and attention to
detail.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet
short deadlines.Computer knowledge and skills: Excel, Word,
OutlookKnowledge of construction practices and
