Directly or through others, the incumbent will:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on the plant instrumentation and control systems with minimum supervision, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift.
• Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolution of plant instrumentation and control systems. Serve as contractor coordinator for contract labor while on-site.
• Complete all required safe work permits, i.e., permit to work, job safety analysis, lock out tag out, hot work permit, confined space permit.
• Assist in the design and implementation of O&M and Capital projects.**LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE.Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent, trade school, related military service training programs, or technical training school programs.
  • Additional professional training preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience in power generation facilities or similar industrial facilities and field.
  • Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communication skills, and be proficient with the use of power and precision tools.
  • Must know Safety and Environmental rules as they relate to electrical maintenance
  • Must provide positive influence on the maintenance, operations, and management team.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS. Familiarity with Maximo is preferred
  • Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.
  • Experience working on voltages up to 4160V preferred.
  • All applicants (excluding applicants currently employed in specific positions in Fossil Generation) must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program in order to be considered a candidate for this position.
